All about the base – Foundation favorites

The very first step for a good make up starts with the foundation. No matter if you plan on keeping your make up a whole day or just for a few hours; choosing the right foundation for your skin is very important.
Here are some of my favorites:
If you have normal to dry skin, the Rimmel London Clean finish foundation is just what you need. I have one in the shade 420 – warm sand which is perfect for my skin color. Its fluid texture helps the product to absorb well into the skin leaving your face with a natural look and giving a decent amount of coverage. It contains vitamin A & E which are highly beneficial to the skin acting as antioxidant and rejuvenates the skin by reducing wrinkles, dark spots and roughness.

Now if you have combination to oily skin the Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse is just magical!!! Its ‘mousseux’ and light texture helps the foundation to rest gently on your skin and as it sets, it turns into a smooth powdery texture on your face. This foundation also has a great lasting power, plus it smell good and is so easy to apply. You get a matte and natural finish without blocking the pores leaving your skin with a velvety touch and ‘voila’!

Now if you prefer compact foundation, the L’Oréal True Match Roll on Foundation is one of my favorite. If you are looking for a product that does not block pores and does not look cakey, go for this one. It has a creamy texture and comes with a roll on sponge applicator which facilitates the application (helps you reach the contours of the nose and chin really well) giving a sheer and even coverage all over your face for a matte, flawless and fresh look. Don’t try to apply several layers or else you will up end up looking fake. The product is so good that a thin layer is enough. I have one in the shade ‘Warm – chaud’. You can also find the same product for dry skin type and oil free for oily skin type.

If you are a student going to school, college or university, a BB cream is the best foundation for you. I have the Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream in shade ‘Medium’. Why I consider BB cream being the best foundation for a student or youngster, it is because it contains skincare advantages as well as acts as a foundation. The fact that the Maybelline BB cream does not contain oil and heavy ingredients it blends so well into the skin; you won’t even feel that you have product on your face. It brightens, moisturizes, evens out, and protects the skin. For a whole day spent at school, your skin needs to breathe, look natural and needs protection from UV lights and the BB cream has it all.

If you haven’t tried any of these foundation, do give them a try, they work like magic! Put on a good base and your make up will stand strong. ;) Till next time keep shining! :*
